Another Florida cracker
Hello from St. Petersburg,FL :) Been a lurker for a few months now, and wow, I did'nt realize there was this much info on hanging a hammock! I am a kayak fisherman, fishing the shallow flats of the Tampa Bay area. Since I also love to camp, it was a natural thing to want to combine two things I love to do. I just received my Kelty Noah 12 tarp today. My Skeeter Beeter Pro should be here in the next day or so. Looking forward to the first hang! Still not sure what suspension to go with, but since I'll be carrying it in my kayak, weight is not an issue. Thanks to Shug, as it was his video I found that started this obsession(my wife also thanks you, just not in the same way:lol:). Looking forward to some hammock chat with you all! Ron

Welcome to the forums from south Florida!
Looking forward to meeting you at one of the group events (when the weather gets cooler). Here are a couple of links to just two of this year's events. The first was pure camping, the second was a kayak trip. There were several more.
