As far as I know (from everything I've read here), the Peapod requires an inline lay, and doesn't work well for big hammocks. I have thought about using several layers of blankets *inside* the hammock to lie on, and keeping them in place with shock cords, similar to the underquilt. Haven't gotten around to try it out, though. At the moment I would be happy if I could put up a hammock at all in my flat...

I was laying. on just a comforter when I first started hanging fulltime, then the wife had a hot flash and I woke up cold and blubbering. Now I use an underquilt. Can always fire up a fan if it is to warm.

I sleep in this http://www.lasiesta.com/en/CSH18-6/?menu=c1 and it replaced another brazilian hammock I have. I didn't know if a UQ would even work on this hammock and who could make one for me. So, I just hung brazilian hammock #1 under it and clipped a comforter to it, sandwiching the comforter between the two hammocks.
It works and I sleep diagonally, even perpendicular to the main axis sometimes. It isn't pretty but it works... too well sometimes. I had to go for a lighter TQ last night... just a simple fleece blanket. Warm weather returned for a last hurrah. :)
During the summer I needed something under me even if it was 75 in the room. I just wrapped a fleece blanket around me.
My cats LOVE :boggle: the setup!

Made a JC Pennys puffer UQ for my napping hammock I have in my gear room. Works just right

Indoor Hammock Question
My house is always 72, so I only use a sheet wrapped around. Year round.

I dont think I could sleep with an UQ on indoors. I'm usually far too hot anyway.

I've posted my hammock sandwich technique in the bottom insulation forum. It works beautifully and all you usually need is a spare old hammock, the insulation of your choice, and possibly 1 or 2 small lengths of chain.
Put the old hammock under the newer hammock then sandwich any insulation of your choice between the two.
As a full time hanger and being about 170kg I go through hammocks every 6 months or so, as they start to stretch out of shape. I am never short of matching spares.

Been hanging full time indoors since June. I use an underquilt. Planning on switching to a Brazilian in the next couple of months. Good stuff!
