When using my new cuben tarp in the rain the pull-outs weeped through. Before I seal them, would a mixture of mineral spirits and silicon cause any damage to the cuben? Has anyone else sealed them or is there a better way?

You can use the urethane based seam sealers with the cuben fabric. You will not have to thin them down. This is what I used and it has lasted since 2008 with my diy cuben tarp.
Like Seamgrip or Silnet sold at REI?
Seamgrip is urethane based
Silnet is silicone based
Some of the glues used on cuben like Hysol are urethane based.
You don't have to thin down most of the urethane based sealers but you do have watch for runs. Most are water based so it is easy wipe off before drying.
do you own a hammockgear.com tarp? i was under the impression that there was no seam sealing required?
Thanks for chiming in on this Hangnout. Those are great recommendations.
The only real possible point of water infiltration on the cuben tarp is the 4 panel pull outs. I assume that is what OMS is referring to. We have recently started using a small amount of seam grip on the panel pull outs. The perimeter pullouts might also weep though but they are on the perimeter so we do not seal them. I suppose you could seam seal them though. :)
