Hi everyone! I'm new to the forum and new to camping in a hammock. I spent a few nights in my backyard in a hammock from Brazil and loved it. Now that I've started with hammocks, I can't wait to learn more. That's why I'm here! I've been reading many helpful threads already. It's really interesting how much there is to learn about hammocks!:D
I don't own a real "camping" hammock myself yet, but I plan on getting a Grand Trunk Ultralight soon.

Welcome from Denver. The ultralight is a solid choice, you should enjoy it. If you haven't already look up the videos from Shug here and/or on YouTube. They're great resources.

Thanks, I've watched most of his videos already. I really enjoyed them. So informative and entertaining at the same time.

Welcome. There is a lot to take in. It can be a bit overwhelming at first, but it will all start to make sense after a few nights out there in it :)
The UL is a great hammock. Have fun!

Welcome from south Texas... There is a lot of information in here... Akin to drinking from a fire hose... Come in and have a sip...

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone! I just finished making a pair of whoopie slings so now I'm anxious to try them out. I love how the ends get tucked back into themselves and give them a "clean" look.

Great job on the slings! They are super fun to make and look very finished at the end. Now you're officially hooked.
