I'm DYING to get out in the woods... I hope this will be well into my "hanging season" for 2011. Either way I hope to be there and really have no excuses seeing I live 30 min away.

I'm putting it on my calendar. Would love to meet you guys and check out some different hammock configurations. Maybe I can catch a ride from Hot Springs to Erwin after the hang and section hike back to Hot Springs.
can't remember if I said anything about going or not. I haven't been in a few yrs so we may go
Great find RF!
The rafting section that the rafting companies run is section 9 and is class II-III whitewater. It's fun in the spring and is wonderful rafting trip! If you want to reserve your trip call today!
I have an offer I discussed with my club last week too!!! :D
My paddling club, The Appalachian Paddling Enthusiasts (APE's) have agreed to offer a class I trip on Saturday after the breakfast from the campground at Hot Springs on down to a FS Station. This means any of you who have recreational boats can come and join in! No real WW experience required. The only requirements to join us is that you must wear a PFD and a helmet (I can outfit a few just PM me).
We will arrange shuttle and we have experienced swift water rescue paddlers leading this trip. We are really big on safety, conservation and education. And we're a really fun bunch of APE's!:lol:
I can bring some bandaids...Quote:
Shrek, I can bring my machete and we can see who can make a hiking stick the fastest.
