Ok, got my BB and love it. Asym-Diamond Tarp is what I got...I have no idea how to set it up.
How long should I cut the lines for the trees? 6ft, 8 ft?
What type of knots do you suggest?

congrats btt! you have a great hammock :D
my guylines on the tarp are 10ft long 1.25 zing-it w/ bowline knot at the tie-outs and marlin spike hitches on the stakes.
i dont have self tensioners, but they are easy/quick to diy if you need them using shock-cord.
i use a 33ft long 1.25 zing-it for my tarp ridge line.
in this photo i set the tarp up bakers-hut style. when it rains the rl goes under my tarp, but ymmv.

the toggles above are bic-pens (with holes), prusik'd to the ridge line. this way i can slide the tarp left or right and tighten it more if i want to. the prusiks wont give.
the ridge line goes around the tree and is kept taut by these tensionlocks from exped. you could use knot bones with figure nines or a number of other solutions, but for a knots-only setup i would use the grapple hitch.

here is a bigger picture, showing the snake skins i store my tarp in and that i tied the hammock above the tarp on the tree to get the two closer together.

there are some really nice diagrams on the forums showing different setups, but don't have the link atm, so try a search. and of course you MUST  watch shugs video masterpieces (tarps start at the 5th episode):

hth!
:-)
Those tensionlocks look like they would be a lot better for your line then the figure 9 that I'm using now.
thanks for the info and direction.
I just bought my first WBBB (1.0 dl).
I have used a HH asym tarp (the larger more recent version). It works pretty well, but the tie outs for the hammock (the ones for the shelf and its opposite side tieout) extend the hammock out from under the tarp making for a bad potential in a rainstorm.
The only solution is not to tie it out on the sides, but that does not seem preferable.
For me, I use the HH Hex fly. It works better, and provides a little more space underneath for cooking etc. The lighter version of the hexfly (though a bit pricey) is about even in weight to the asym tarp for the gram weenies.
