The graffiti comment led me to do some "research" on youtube. A lot of graffiti artists are DIY experts in their own right, robbing ink pens to make their own ink, refilling markers, making their own markers and applicators, etc. While I don't condone the vandalism some do, the skill set to DIY their tools is respectable. I learned there are more sources for permanent ink than I realized.
That's the thing about about HF, it causes one hobby to lead to another, to another. Hammock camping leads to making your own hammock, which leads to an interest in sewing, which leads to collecting and rehabbing old sewing machines. Raise your hand if you're guilty. :) The search for a lightweight camo tarp led to DIY silnylon, which is leading to camo cuben, which is leading to DIY graffiti ink. Where will it end? For those who believe, the solution is out there.
could it possibly be UV damage causing it to dust off. black would be the hottest.beautiful camo work.
Hmmm..., I wonder if tattoo ink would work.
Also, I was able to find permanent marker refill ink on Amazn in black, red, green and blue, but no brown.
Someone said something about tattoo ink,but it seemed too expensive to me. Might be the answer though.
