been sick at home the last few days so the energy I could muster up, I put into watching trip reports and some editing on my long list of 'films to edit'.
After loosing my camera in January, I bought a new one, a Panasonic Lumix DMC FT4 (this is the Dutch Model/name, I found that names/numbers depend on where you live...maybe with this one too, not sure....)
Anyways, normally every last sunday of the month my friend Jan and I organise an outing (free of charge) to get people back into nature (what little patches we have left over here..) and away from the keyboard...
Since Jan makes (beautiful) knives we also attend many exhibitions where we also demonstrate several bushcraft skills (e.g. making fire).
Last weekend of February I could combine this all, saturday a (small) knife exhibition) and a solo overnighter in the woods with the monthly outing on a sunday with quite a big group.
With my new job, living life and all it took some time before I made the final editing, but here it finally is: another trip report from Holland (The Netherlands).
Appreciate your time for watching and all feedback is welcome. Thanks in advance.
Now off to do editing of a trip last March, my new food hydrator, and what not...

Heck of a knife collection, were they all yours?

Oh, if I read the intro, I would of known that the Knives were an exhibition - (small) knife exhibition)
Thumbs up for the fire lighting. Home is where the tarp is – I like that! It sure is a winter wonderland! Why don’t you look cold? I’d be FREEZING, no, that’s not right... frozen! Thanks for the video, borntoroam! I’m going to go turn the heater on! lol

Glad you enjoyed it Brucie. Cold? Cradled in (warm) comfort instead... that's why I didn't want to get out....

Kids and fire is always a good combo to get them interested and active. That big group.... a few hangers in there. I have scored a lot of brownie points in Hammock Heaven for converting many a Dutchie but not all yet :D Thanks for commenting and watching Mountnman!
Uploading the March trip report as I type ...

B2R beautiful snowy scene!
What was the uniform you are wearing? Scouting Netherland style?
The white anorak would surely dissapear.
The orange anoraks owner had a nice bushcraft knife.
Fire from ferrorod onto fuzz stick is very good..what kind of wood? Pine?
Just glad you got out, you have big grin camping in the snow...not far from the parking
lot but a million miles from stresses of every day life-good on ya!

Hey born2roam,
Great to see a new video from you. Looks like the kids had fun making fire. What a refreshing night in the hammock you must of had. The HG Winter Palace looks great ! I have got to try a feather stick soon, I've not used one in a long time. Thanks for taking us along.

Nope, no uniform, just a mishmash of things. I keep on going from robust survival/bushcrafty to minimalist lightweight and back...
The white anorak, yeah well 5 or 6 years ago I had a great survival training in Sweden and since then I am converting people to orange, though some take it over the top
Jan, the owner of the orange anorak makes great knives check out his (dutch) website or his facebook if you want more knife p@rn
Yep it was a standing dead small pine, sawed and split.
It is almost impossible in Holland to really get away far, but at least far enough to enjoy the woods.
Thanks for watching and I'll try to be done with the editing sooner then in the past ;)
