Which 6 of the greatest hammocking minds would you lock in a room and expect something remarkable to emerge.
Here's my list (in no particular order):
Professor Hammock
Hangnout
Risk
MacIntyre
Dutch.
WarbonnetDude
I could easily add more but the limit is 6!

Plus 5 people Shug likes so he will stay longer... Lol
After Mule made that pleated Bridge hammock, I think I'd have to find a way to fit him into the mix. Who I would remove to make room is a much tougher question.
I would add Sgt. Rock to it. I really like the stuff he does to go lighter and see how far he can take it.

Only 6? Well in no particular order:
- Sgt Rock - For making things lighter
- Dutch - For the hardware
- Stormcrow - For the downy goodness
- HangnOut - For the sideways thinking
- WV - For thinking from the opposite side of Hangnout
- Grizz - For doing all the math to make sure it will work
Then give the result to Shug to make a video, and to Risk to take it all a step further. :D
Just Jeff contributed a lot. And I think Dutch and Opie improved our suspension systems immensely.

How about number 6: 4dog? So that's six, but who should they replace? And the limit is 6, but I'm thinking of another one known for eating humans at a high Sierra Mountain pass, but I can't put him in because I'm over six. I honestly don't think I could narrow it down to just six. The number of folks on here (past and present) who innovate in unusual ways is just too great to be narrowed down like that. I mean, we're pretty much watching the "locked room" phenomenon here on the forums already...well, minus the bread and water (and vitamins!)...

Te-Wa, top of the list...I would not have ever found hammocks if not for him...which would mean that I would not have started AHE which would mean I and my family would probably would not have our house and everything else. Grizz...aka the Professor. Missed meeting him last year by a couple hours. Hate when crap comes up that prevents you from doing what you want to do...Still hate that I had to bail on getting together grizz.
Shug...meet the man but would still like to hit the trail with him. Anyone that has a chance to see Shugs show should make time, it was a highlight of the year.

IMHO we should add Ed Speer and The Jacks to the possibilities. They were the pioneers who broke trail.

I'm not sure I'd put all those people in the same room. It would be far too dangerous for them to all be in one place. The world might well become unbalanced. There might be outages on the other side of the world! :scared: :jj:
Got Ed back in post #10. But I forgot the Jacks! How could I have forgot them, the inventors of the bridge hammock ( as far as a commercial product ) and not counting PeaPods maybe the inventor of the hammock UQ as a commercial product Plus at the least in a 3 way tie for inventor of the differential cut UQ ( along with Youngblood (Snugfit ) and WBG (Yeti)). Timing on that last one is hard to say for sure. And inventor of the UQP, with their original, oh can't remember the name of it, Storm shield?Quote:
