Greeting from Maryland
Hello Hangers!
I am brand new to this forum and to Hammocks. I have enjoyed lazy summer days in a Kittyhawk Hammock but have never used one to camp in.
I have been researching the various types and brands and enitially was leaning towards the Clark Ultra light until I came accross this forum and a few very humorous youtube videos by Shug. I have car camped, camper camped, tent camped and backpacked and enjoy hitting the AT every Memorial day weekend. This year will be an experiment.
I just purchased a WBBB last night and look forward to hanging it for the first time and get in some prctice before my AT hike at the end of the month. I have had back problems since I was 12 or 13 so I was a little reluctant to buy a hammock but after reading so many reveiws from people in a similar situations have decided to take a gamble.
Wish me luck and thank you all for such great info and suggestions.
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum and good luck with your Blackbird.
Lots of people with bad backs here (and everywhere). A number of forum members sleep in hammocks full time because it alleviates their back problems. Hope it works for you as well.
