Video: Dolly Sods Group Hike/Hang
I hiked in Friday night and met up with a bunch who'd been out for a few days already. We had some great campfire stories and jokes then a perfect nights sleep in our cozy hammocks. Woke to temps at 35F and slowly rising.
Two groups went out for a day hike exploring the beauty of the Dolly Sods area. A must visit and a place I will return to many times in the future. We finished off the day with another campfire and some great camaraderie. It was a most enjoyable weekend and I am lucky to have been able to make it!

LOL! I missed Everybody!!
I arrived at Red river Campground Friday afternoon about 3, got the last campsite and never saw anybody the whole weekend! LOLOL. There was a really nice gentleman in the campsite next door that has been at the sods every year since like 1968. I visited Bear Rocks, and down to the Red River. (most everything up and down public road 75 and the curve to the west at the bottom of the area. It was a pretty good shakedown for a brand new hammock, and my first solo outing in over 9 years. I posted a few photos.
