'Fasten then zip', or 'Zip then fasten'?

A thought flittered across my mind (first heard on TV show Babylon5);

When you put on your pants in th morning, do you Fasten then zip, or Zip then fasten?
How this relates to hammocks:
I was looking at some new tarps Superfly vs Maccat Ultra vs Winter Dream, and the cat-cut struck me; "What do you fasten first, and how do you deploy your entire system?"

With my hex tarp it's stupid easy.

-Hammock then tarp. **(Depending on weather)**
-Tarp guylines (clockwise, usually 2-3 times to try and get all the wrinkles out) [I really need a cat-cut] It sounds like I have OCD when I say it like that!
-hammock tie-outs.

In the quest for a more efficient setup, what/how do the rest of you do (it)?

Just to clairify, I am not asking how you get dressed, I am wondering how you setup camp, and more specifically; how do you attend to the tarp guy-lines.

Is it clockwise, middle-then-ends, ends-then-middle, etc... ?

In principle I fasten then zip. I do this because I feel fastening brings the zippers closer together and therefore makes it easier to close.

In hammocking I like to set up hammock first (weather permitting) to get proper height and feel of lay, then tarp ridgeline, then tarp centred on RL, then tarp tie outs tightening the daigonal corners alternately.

Tarp on trees in snakeskins, then hammock.
Top quilt goes in, then UQ goes around.
Fasten, then zip. :D
