I recently aquired a piece of crinkle taffeta---------is there anything special i need (special thread or needles)? I've never used the stuff before----------thanks!
I just made a hammock using the 2.6 oz/sy polyester black crinkle taffeta from DIYGearSupply.
The only thing I had to adjust was the tension on the top thread. On my thread injector, the tension dial goes from 0-10. I set the tension at 6 for the crinkle fabric. For the typical nylons I set it at 4.
As always, start every project with a new sharp needle.
