This is a repair method for smaller holes, which I get almost every trip.
Also I forgot to add, I believe the stitch pattern I used is called a basic "running stitch". I'm not a sewing expert at all.
This hole was a little larger compared to what I usually encounter. This is about the hole size limit for this repair. Any larger and you start pulling the surrounding netting too much.
It looks best with smaller holes that are just big enough to annoy you and let mosquitoes in.

I grew up in Huntsville just north of you so I didn't notice a thang.
Great tip thanks for sharing it.

HA! A southern drawl is definitely nothing to excuse pal! Like the late great Louis Grizzard often quoted, "American by birth, southern by the grace of God"!
Enjoyed the video!

Your voice sounds normal to me, but then again I think anyone who lives north of the Ohio River or West of the Mississippi is a foreigner.

Right on, I feel better now knowing I'm amongst fellow slow talkers. I'm just used to listening to Shug.

That is a right good idea.....I always just used gaffers tape. Makes my stuff stand out and ugly!

When that music first started I thought I was about to be listening to Phil Collins! Good video, I'll definitely use this!

I hope I won't have to use this, but good to know there is a really simple and effective way to fix something like this.
Thanks for posting!

Whole patch with seam sealer?
I deployed my no seeum netting last night on my BMBH for the first time. I woke up and started to break down my hammock and noticed a small whole. I was no where near any flame embers that could have burned a whole in it and I do not remember have anything sharp near the hammock. Does this happen often?
I had a piece of no seem left over from a bag that my Equinox tarp came in, so I cut a small patch and spread some seam sealer to provide a mechanism to adhere one surface to another.
Any one ever tried this and if so, how long did it last? I think I was able to include a picture.
