Tulle durability?
Picked up a few yards of black tulle to make some gear. Seems relatively strong, significantly lighter than No-See-Um(NSU) & fraction of the cost. The NSU on order is supposedly treated to reduce UV breakdown. Wondering about relative durability? Does UV just result in catastrophic failure or is breakdown relatively easy to see as it happens? I think and hope the label noted the material is a polyester.

I'm sewing some right now, making a bug net. Its a pain to work with. Hard to see the ends.

Can't say for sure about the UV, but I only use Tulle. I have only had my set up for a couple months (all DIY), but I have a bug sock out of tulle that is pretty durable. I did put a hole in it with a cord lock, but it sewed up relatively nicely. None of my gear is made to look professional, so take everything I say with a grain of salt. Oh, my snake skins are also out of tulle and my tarp is one of those Home Depot blue poly tarps, with rather sharp edges and they have held up for a dozen backyard hangs.
Hope this helps.
