This thread kinda died, but I would like to revive the idea. Just had to search around for a backpacking friendly bra. Would rather have been able to do that here, and share with other women, (and men), what our experiences are. Not to mention the fact that some men get uncomfortable with certain topics, (monthly issues and squatting), and this would give them the option of avoiding the issues and make it easier for women to find each other and the topics that we may need to see, that are hidden in the general topic area. Certainly not a "women's only" section, but a "hiking for ladies" section
just a thought to help with the ability to find answers. cant you tag a post with something women related? #womenrelated or something? then can you search the tags?
But how would new people know to search that way?
I'm still here and I still think it's a good idea. It should be tried out and if it's a big flop, delete it. Easy-peasy.
Here's a way Tweety.
Try this using Google Search:
- ladies female women site:hammockforums.net
My 2 respectful cents here; I believe a ladies/women forum would aid in opening up the joy of hammocks to other outdoor women and the men who love them. It would make it easy for women to find information related to their specific needs. As anyone who has lobbied for a sub-forum knows, it is all about making the information easy to find. I posted about an All Women Hang last week. The purpose of the All Women Hang was to ease women into hammock hanging. I takes me awhile to find that post, and I know where to look for it. If we had a Womens Sub-forum it would be very easy to find it under that heading. Would a trial period be so awful?
Perhaps you should consider an ongoing thread dedicated to these topics. I believe this is what the motorcycle enthusiast are doing. Then if you have a lot of activity maybe the mods would consider it.
In lieu of, or until a sub-forum is created, I think TallPaul has a good idea. We have other running threads like Awesome Hangs Pictures, Show Us Your Thread Injector, Without Merit, etc.
