Couldn't resist posting these when I saw them. A friend sent me this email. It happened on Sept. 16th on the Old Donner Pass Highway (kinda near and dear to this cannibal). The bear was fine.

As much as the extra hammock material is probably ideal for getting nice and flat, climbing into and out of that has got to be a chore--certainly too much of a nuisance for a thru. At least you wouldn't have to get out to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night...
But you get the perfect hang every time. Who else has at least 3 people making sure the hammock is hung just right? Problem is, finding a bridge to sleep under each night.Quote:
