Expecting 1 friend as hammock convert, he today asked on facebook on Derek's The ultimate Hang page in latvian language how can be done camping in hammock in autumn and for my surprise Derek took care to google translate my Latvian friend's question and answer it.
My friend Uldis Ozolins unfortunately do mot write and speak english language. I told him about google translate and also gave answer to him.
My friend shocked about that fact that he lives in Latvia at one small duck pond and someone took care of him accross the globe. He just unexpected that from Derek.

I had 2 others start hanging after a scout backpacking trip. I guess they got envious of my getting up with out the aches and pains that normally comes with those trips.:)

Working on converting my granddaughter (sent her a hammock for XMas) but as she is not 2 yet it may be a couple years before I know if I was successful
-
I converted my kids, my oldest daughter's boyfriend (his hammock stays very close to mine), his brother and their dad. My better half will snooze in her hammock in the afternoon but I haven't managed to convinced her to hang out overnight yet.

converted oldest son and both grandkids...looks like I will never get to hang alone anymore!

No long term success here. I've made two hammocks for nieces (ages 4 and 2...they love them) and given away two other hammocks to assistant Scoutmaster's...one of which had a positive response the other was extremely skeptical. My family thinks I'm just nuts (wait...you were outside in the back yard (testing gear) when it was 35 degrees when you had a perfectly good bed INSIDE a nice warm house?).
And I'm OK with that. :D

I'm making Hammocks as Christmas gifts for my wife's sister and her husband. I'm confident on my brother-in-law as a convert (bad back).
My kids can't get enough of hammocks. I gave them my GT Single and made a table cloth for them as well. Hopping with the new HH Expedition I can get the wife started. Too cold as of right now to try and convert her. (below freezing) That and no UQ yet:(

Yeah. Brother, Father, and two friends. All comfortable now thanks to the forums

My 5 year old is a die hard hammocker(even though he hasn't spent the night in one yet), he cried when I told him he had to sleep in a tent this past weekend. I had to console him by telling him that as soon as his UQ arrives I would take him back out in the hammock. And my 14 year old has just informed me that he wants to start backpacking again and wants to use a hammock. I also recently converted my hiking partner.

now that I think about it, if I keep this up and track my efforts by purchasing/manufacturers I deserve some kind of commission
