My 10 yr old first night in the trees. Bunk Hammock Style!

me and the monkey man (my youngest son's nickname) went on a little over nighter Friday night and he to got spend his first night in a hammock. He now says that is what he wants for Christmas...amongst a 1000 other things...:rolleyes: We had a blast. I set him up right above me and we had the bunk hammock thing going on. Which is great... I put his head one way and mine the other...which is Bad...since he had Mtn House chili mac for supper that night...praise the Lord for a sleeping pad and sleeping bag. :eek: However, he thought he was stinking me out which I didn't tell him any different. ;)

10 year old boy noises, nothing like it. I can hear a pack of scouts coming a mile off and know they are scouts by the sounds emanating though the woods!

Great to get out and share some time with your son like this. He does look the happy hanger there!

always a good thing for kids to enjoy their trips to the woods. Glad you all had a great one. Yeah, I know about those kids and a long list--never fails. Their lists are almost as long as mine were!

Solved the need for insulation and protection from wild critters at the same time!

May the father/son times continue for many years ahead. I think the world needs more fathers hangin' with their kids.

What a great idea. I've wanted to take my son out and do the hammock thing with him,but I didn't want to invest in doubling up all of the components. Your bunk bed setup will let me save on some initial investment cost. Thanks for sharing.
