Had a blast and met good people what more can you ask for?
Just got home. I'm sure glad I defied doctors orders. A great weekend and some great people. Wish I could have spent more time with everyone but I was spent Saturday night. Ewker, thought about you while Kenny and I was having our Back Label Jack. Wish we did not have to spread out so much Saturday night but sometimes you have to settle on what's available. For those who may not have known the Chinnabee Silent Trail was built by a Scout Troop from the Talladega School for the Deaf.
Next time we will do a point to point up on the Pinhoti with lots of scenic overlooks, etc.
Had a great time it was nice to meet everyone!

Hey guys:
Thanks for another great hike in the woods. We could not have asked for a greater weekend. The weather was it its best: lots of sun and low humidity. The scenery was awe inspriring, from the gentle rollings hills and trail to the running streams and wonderful cascading waterfalls. It was great to meet all of the new people and see all of the other hangers that I have hung with before. We got an early start this morning because my buddy had things he had to take care of back in town. I have lived within 40 miles of all of these trails for most of my life and never thought about hiking them. I now see what I have been missing and will now have to try and do more of these trails. Hopefully, the next time I am out on these trails I will be able to breath a little better.
Bronchitis + hiking = tough 10 miles, but worth every minute I was out there
Dale, I look forward to the next hike and I hope all of this hanging gang can make it back. We had 4 state represented: Alabama, Tennessee, Mississippi and Florida atleast those were the people I talked to.
It was great meeting a lot of new folks, and seeing others again! Thanks everyone that attended.
I wish our Saturday night campsite had been a little less spread out so we could do a hammock tour, but it was a great weekend anyway.
For those that missed Thursday/Friday, here's a peek.

Enjoyed the trip and putting faces with trailnames. I did not get a chance to meet everyone that joined the hike on Saturday but there were a lot of hammocks spread on the hill and along the creek. Great group and campfire on Friday night. Kind of cool to show up and hike with people you never met from at least 4 states.
I think it was Stoikurt who said people look at you funny when you say you are going hiking with people you met on the internet:D
Thanks for letting me join in at the last moment
