IF your not using it for long distance hiking then headholes really dont matter.

Thanks AC, yours is one of the ones I've bookmarked. I think my first is going to be like yours, but rectangular, and blue/silver instead of blue/black. I couldn't find any black material for $3 a yard unfortunately.
Question about yours...it looks like the edges are sewn together rather than boxed like the two others I posted here. Is that correct? If you were to do it again, would you box the edges, or are you happy with your results?
I've never had a quilt with draft stoppers like yours...so I'm not sure how to use them or if I want them.
the boxed edges are beautiful and very polished. But I tuck my quilt under me and I struggled weighing the extra work with practical use. I have had no cold spots based on the tapering of the edges, so I guess I'd repeat my style again. Again, no knock on the boxed edge.
The jury is out on the draft stopper...does it help? maybe. But if your quilt untucks enought to the point the draft stoppers are all that is left tucked, they have no insulation value and the cold would be VERY apparent. Of course, since I measure things by effort cause I'm LAZY!!, there is no more effort required, so why not!!:lol:
$5/oz isn't bad... what's the fill power?
Have you thought of smaller projects? Down sleeves, down hoodie, Summer-weight quilt to send to your friend JohnSawyer? ;)
Black-rock style hat, or down booties for those cold nights... Down cozy?
I've been drooling over the karo-designs for a while.. I say go for it!
I'd love to do a Black Rock style hat, but he said he went through many, many patterns before he got it right. I don't think I'm that dedicated. I'd also love to try a down balaclava...that might actually be easier to do.
I think a Karo Step will be my first though.
Yeah, just this morning in fact. I had to look it up on my credit card because they didn't have any invoice or anything in the pillow box. You're going to laugh at the name.
