E-yellow from Minnesota
Hello everyone. I became interested in hammock camping to save weight for a boundary waters trip and stumbled on this site. Perfect find, not only hammocks but light weight everything ideas. I have learned alot, created some diy projects and am grateful for all the information. So I bought a wbbb in june and then quickly made a hammock stand. I then spent about 2 weeks sleeping outside on my deck, I loved the comfort and fresh air sleeping. I had alot of fun making gear (and buying it) and I hope I can make some more as I am to get a new-er sewing machine this weekend.:) I am planning on sewing up some down quilts for winter camping. I love the outside in the winter but have had to sleep in my car for camping which really isnt camping, but is fun. Anyways greetings to this great site.

Welcome to HF. It seems that hammock bug has bit you. Making DIY gear is really satisfying and it also a great way to get exactly what you want. Winter camping is very doable in a hammock. Check around the forum here and you will find all kinds of ideas on how to stay warm in a hammock.
