That's the nice thing about this stand. It's not terribly expensive and is a piece of cake to build :)

The weather here at the moment wouldn't be out of place for Noah. So I put it up again indoors and tinkered with the settings and drilled some holes for the hammock hanging etc. Just got to get some weather proofing stain to protect the would and Bob's your uncle I can set up in the yard and test my wet and cold weather kit out. Below is the comformatery (is that a word?) photograph. Alan

Looks good Humpback. You should be able to reduce some of the bow in the toprail if you move the hammock suspension closer to the toprail suspension.
Will do. Just my room is too short! Did measurements for yard use (and had a crafty nap).Alan
Using the Turtledog stand I built Christmas Eve!...love being able to finally hang in my treeless yard.
That is a solid-looking stand for sure. I need to go back through the evolution of this TD thread, and see how you fashioned the hinge system at the top of the tripod (unless, of course, you wish to make my New Year's Day awesome by sharing the rundown!). Like the eyebolt drop for the top rail pipe too!
Thanks in advance for any tips and Happy New Year!
