Unofficial Hammock Forums Group Hang & Other Outdoor Events - Google Calendar

After seeing a thread where crackrbilly was asking about a list of hangs so that he could plan one himself I remember that I had meant to share with everyone the work I had done to plan the Smoke Butt Hang. I was trying hard not to overlap any other hangs or large outdoor events such as Trail Days and I found it entirely too difficult to have dates just written down and listed, so I made a Google calendar and now I share it with you all.

It probably isn't complete, or even 100% correct but if you would like to add something to it, feel free to PM with dates, location, and name of the event and I'll be glad to add it on as well.

WOW Cat, that must have taken a lot of work. The Feb calendar was OK but when I went to the March calendar it was overwhelming. Maybe it's the time of night here at the witching hour.

Yeah Feb is pretty sparse as I knew I didn't want to plan my hang for this time of year...I wanted some warmer temps. :D

March is where it really starts to pick up, and I've just gone through updated with all the upcoming hangs I could find that had dates pinned down.

The Texas Fall Group Hang is November 8-10, 2013. It's listed here on the HF calendar on the home page but would you mind adding it to your's as well.

Awesome resource. Thanks for putting it together. I wish more folks would use the HF calendar for events. It would function just like this, but all in one place and it would manage itself.

You have the wrong month for the White Rocks Hike-N-Hang. Its supposed to be in April.

Also, are we not using the Hammock Forums Calendar anymore?

I agree, but since the HF calendar doesn't get used for all the hangs I decided to put a bit of my energy towards performing a service for all.

Sorry, got that fixed.

I made this calendar up for my personal use, since not everyone posts their hangs in the HF calendar, and figured since I was doing the work already I would offer it up for people here to use as well. And since I live by my Google calendar, having this integrated in just makes things easier to see and plan.

Well thanks a bunch for sharing. It's pretty handy to see all the trips posted on one calendar.

Calendar has been updated with the hangs that seem to have a date and location locked down. If you are hosting/planning a hang please double check the calendar that I have the information correct, or if you don't see the hang listed let me know and I will be glad to add it on as well.
