0* Phoenix or Incubator?
I've decided to buy a Hammock Gear winter under quilt and I thought I would ask you which one you would buy. I would save a little weight and money on the 3/4 quilt, but I think my feet would be warmer with the full length. What is your experience?
I'm going to try to do some winter camping although I don't expect to be out when it's colder than zero. I would guess that it will be between 10*F to 30*F most of the time. I will be at home or car camping until I get everything dialed in. Later I will be hiking (snowshoeing), but I plan to have a pulk for carring my gear.
I also plan to buy a hammock sock for the colder or windy nights.

I'm partial to the full length myself. But that's me. A 20 degree with a little overstuff suits me just fine and my feet stay warm. I'm also eyeballing some western mountaineering flash booties for winter

If you move around like I do, go full length. I tried the partial and could never get the pad to stay in one place.

I have a 0* Incubator and love it. I just don't see buying a 3/4 and then having to run a pad under my feet. Trying to keep a pad under my feet is a pain...my Incubator stays put with no fuss. Hope this helps.

I went with the full length and could not be happier. I left the ground because I have bad circulation in my knees and feet so I did not want to let them get cold in a hammock either. The weight is worth it and really not that much when you figure you still need a small pad of some sort for your legs. I believe my HG incubator weighs 24.5 oz without the stuff sack.

Dont want to hijack but am in the same boat. What is the packed size of the 3/4 and the full length?

I've got the 0* 3/4 Phoenix. I am quite happy with it. I don't usually need a pad. But I use a small REI self-inflating pillow under my feet. If I don't I seem to press my feet against the hammock wall and cause my feet to cramp.

Thanks for all the replies.
After reading this and other threads, I'm going with the Incubator. I also don't want to mess with the foot pads when it's cold and I'm not worried about the extra weight. All I've read is good things about Hammock Gear quilts so I will be happy!:)
Now the waiting begins.
