WELCOME!! Will meet you at the NEHHA in a coupla weeks! There is NO need to be afraid of the cold, with the right gear! You can be toasty warm day and night - the other thirty or so hangers will show you that at the hang! But if NOTHING else, show-up for the FOOD! :D

Trust me, My wonderful husband has tried to insulate me to the hilt, but alas, I have a condition is which my blood doesn't go to my extremities when they get cold. I can actually easily get frostbite, while others don't even feel cold. I may be able to stay warm in the hammock, but I would never leave! ;)
Oh, and I will be there for the food for sure! I can't wait to meet everyone!
===> I totally understand! I have Diabetes, Peripheral Neuropathy, and terrible circulation to the extremities myself. I use layers, and good down for sleeping as a defense. And wool clothing. Lots. Well that, and single malt scotch. And bacon, of course. And Bushcrafting fun. And more bacon.....

Sky, I'm impressed you go out! No matter the layers and amount of wool and down on me, I still shiver. When Nighthauk took his gear to the single digits, I was freezing in the same gear at 30... I haven't tried copious amounts of bacon yet though... ;)
