scary. i've often hung my rig over some stuff i definitely wouldn't want to fall on. sticking with my biners
FWIW everyone who order one of the subject lighter Original style DCs was notified by email of the swap for new style free option... The problem arises when they are resold rather than returned for exchange...As stated in prior post and on our DC web page, if in doubt weigh them, 15 grams go to go, 12 grams, make sure you stitch them to insure they do not rotate... or return them to JRB for replacement.

They'll only get my Dutch clips when they pry them from my cold, dead hands!
:scared: :)
Just a thought but would it not be better to turn the DCs so they're the other way up ? I've always used them prongs pointing up, a bit like a horseshoe so the luck doesn't run out.
If owners of the older DCs used them prongs up then there would be very little chance of them failing as far as I can tell.
I hang with female Dutch Clips... er, vintage Dutch Clips, I mean, the original Dutch Clips.
I use them like horseshoes, holding the luck inside.
It's the only metallic hardware that I deploy.
Still usuable in the woods I guess if needs be--but ****!
Original DCs without a stitch in the webbing.
Still a bruise-free butt, thanks to my mild case of OCD. :D
Soo,
been a while since I've been here,,
I have 5 sets of the old clips (ordered off HF),, is it a straight up exchange?
Thanks,
