Big Guys Need Hammocks To?
Hello Hammock community I have a problem and I hope you can help.
I have been recently bitten by the camping/survival bug and would like to acquire more gear to make that pass time more enjoyable. I have been scouring the internet looking for smart ideas and I think I have stumbled onto one of the smartest. The hammock. Most of you people are already thinking the same way and that is why you are here. I however have a problem. I am a large male. A very large male from the stand point of hammock makers as I exceed that weight limit on all of the hammocks I have seen including the Clark Nx 250. I am 6'4 weighting in at around 350lbs on a light day and I have a 60 inch chest. I am basically build like the MMA fighter Tank Abbot or the Pro wrestler Jim "The Anvil" Neidhart. Basically put I am beer keg with legs and a funny looking head. So does this mean that the realm of hammocks is closed to me or do I have to shell out some major coin for a custom built one? If you can answer my questions that would be great. I look forward to reading the response.
Check out the ENO doublenest
Check out the ENO double nest, If i remember correctly the weight limit is 400 lb. Most of the suspensions you'll see people using around here seem to go at least that high as well, except the dutch clip is only 275 I think.
Good luck, search around - there is a lot of great info on this forum.
