I just ordered a new 9x9 a week or so ago. Placed order on 7-27 and it arrived on 8-1. About the same when I ordered the 12x12 a few months back.
dang, thats better than mine.
I ordered on 7-31 ( in the morning even!) , and its not here yet.
I wonder if the free shipping with the club membership is my hold up.
oh well.
I just checked, and we are very nearly the same distance from them.
I ordered a 9x9 from them to be delivered 2nd day UPS (for 10.00 extra dollars), -- they shipped it correctly, but UPS decided to deliver whenever they felt like it, 4 days later. Made me very mad as I had gone out of town for the week and needed it before I left... I'm still trying to figure out how to recoup my 10.00.
You'll be fine with yours though, I'm sure.
according to the UPS tracking website it should be delivered today.
thats not too terrible I guess ( 7 days total - 4 business days after it shipped), that is typical of UPS ground
but it didnt ship until the 3rd day after I ordered it, so I guess thats the delay im seeing.
if I order anything else from them, I will do it far in advance of any hopeful usage.
When I ordered mine it seemed like they shipped it out pretty fast. They made have had a supply issue. That would explain the slight delay.
Weird!
I have been shopping at the Guide for over 20 years & nothing (unless backordered, & they usually told my that in less than 2 days) has ever taken over 5 - 6 business days. In fact it has been so dependable, I likely would have called them by now. Customer service is STELLAR at SG, so give them a call & see what the delay is.
Doctari.
I ordered a 9x9 tarp last Tuesday; still not here.
It doesn't seem like you can beat it for the price.
Im seriously considering ordering this one too.

Just for the heck of it. Its about the same weight I believe.
Someone has had these on eBay lately.
For the price, you really can't. It's pretty cheap, not too horribly heavy and provides good coverage. I borrowed one from HC4U and used it at the April SEHHA Hangout and on my now infamously ill-fated AT section hike attempt. I had no problems with it at all, even after I wound up on the ground on the AT during a rain storm.
I might order another one and mod it into a hex tarp. For the price that's a good deal still.
Before anyone orders any more we should try for a group purchase discount.
my 2 cents

I finally got mine last night. I like it, but I'm not sure what they were thinking when they made the stuff sack. Holy crud that thing is huge! I think I could fit all three of my tarps into that thing.
I did set it up last night just to 'play' and I'm really happy with the purchase. It is a wee bit on the heavy side, but it will be great for 2 or 3 day conditioning hikes (I pack heavy for those anyway) or car camping. I'll say it again, I don't know that you could do much better for the price. I don't remember anymore, but it seems to me that the materials to make my BlackCat cost me very close to the same amount. Although, my BlackCat provides more room I think the views will be better with this.
Now, when can I sneak out of work and go hiking? :D
The stuff sack is huge. With the 12x12 tarp there isnt so much room leftover, but with the 9x9 I have enough room to stuff my eno doublenest, slap strap, and tarp in the same bag. My guardian bugnet should be here soon. I will let you know if I can stuff that in there too! I think i can!
Yea, I'm thinking of getting a 12by & modifying it into a Mac cat type tarp. I have the 9by & by hanging corner to corner it's usually great, but when the wind blows hard, I need to hang square & if it's just a little off one way or the other, I can get wet. Plus I like a 11' (or longer) ridgeline for the tarp so I can hang my pack at one end of the hammock & use it as a closet.
AARRG, that is so off topic: Glad you guys got the tarp. As I said afore: SG is great!
bhancock,
Woooh.... chect the weight..... also the size.... at a finished 9-3 it is too short for most hammocks.... this will require your to rig it asym, which will result in two strong side coverages and two weak side coverages, a classic issue of that approach....

I ordered a 9X9 Last Friday and it got here in less than a week - I used in on a trip Friday and it kept me as dry as a bone through a violent 2 hour Colorado Mountain Thunderstorm. Good product and fast delivery.
Thats very good to hear, mine is on order now :)
Did you get any photos?
