Ive been waiting for this announcement. Gotta get a set for my new WBRR . I still got a pair of the original ones from long ago. Thanks for the new gear
Also the original Dutch Clips is available at Dutchware. Now I can stop answering that question. They will still be available at JRB who have been so loyal to me over the years.

Great news. I need to get a set of clips for my new ridgerunner!
Time to place an order!
Sweet I most def need to get me a set.
I just ordered 2 ti sets.
Ooh new shinies :)
What's the deal with the new shape? Are they intended to keep the webbing curved while clipped?
Thanx dutch you just my order out the other day, if i would have known.
I have been using dutch clips for a long time and still have and use an original set. All this time I have been setting them up as follows:
Arms up - looks like a 'U'
Wrap strap around the tree and secure the working end of the strap through the clip such that the strap leaves the clip at nearly 180 deg. back towards the hammock. The clip is at the side of the tree 90 deg. away from the lay of the hammock. Pulling the strap, therefore, tensions the strap and prevents the strap from rotating about the tree.
Am I a sinner?
By the way - the new ti clips are so pretty, I wish I could figure out a way to make mine a ti tie clip!!
If you are, then I am too!
Seriously, you have it right
As far as I understand, the arms are supposed to be facing down. That's how I set 'em up.
I just bought Al ones a few weeks ago, and a bunch of line and some hardware like a week ago... now I suspect ANOTHER order is inbound!
Freaking Dutchware is more like Crackware!
Keep it up, Dutch, the ingenuity and practicality (not to mention the sheer sexy) is much appreciated, even if SheWhoMustBeObeyed (she mustn't ALWAYS be obeyed... 0=) ) doesn't agree!
I just won a set of the new Dutch Clips at the SC Fall Sprawl Hang. Told the other hangers you can never have enough Dutch Gear.
We are all sinners, but it sounds like you are using it correctly. One last thing is to make sure there is a 30 degree sag I the suspension.
I want to amend this and link to instructions. Note what side the clip is on com[ared to the suspending webbing

Ahhhh - absolved by the Man himself! Just kidding - we all know who the man is.
Thanks Dutch for the affirmation.
What about the ti tie clip? Probably already thought of that and then thought, woodsmen don't wear ties!
nice, I was wondering why the AL were not on the web site :) come payday I will be ordering a new set to try out : )
TATO (Dutch's partner in crime) was selling some Dutch gear in addition to his (Tato's) Element stove at a hammock hang this weekend so I picked up some more Dutch gear
I received my order from Dutch, yesterday, now I want the newest addition.
Dutch - I've got dutchware all over my stuff and love how it makes my life so much easier. I really want a set of clips but I'm a bit worried about the 30* angle only rule. I rarely get the 30* angle and rely heavily on my amsteel RL to do its job. Without placing any liability on you as a vendor, would you say the there is a good margin of safety in the 30* angle only rule? Am I likely to end up on my butt if I hang them at 20*? I'd accept responsibility for using them outside of your specification, but would hate to break them on the first hang. Have you tested any to destruction? It would be good to know even just as additional information.
Thanks
Mark
Ok, thanks Dutch. When I say I rely on my RL, most of the time it tends to be quite tight rather than being able to bend it through 90* with my thumb, but I do try for the least tension possible. I cant resist new dutchware so i'll probably try a set anyway and report back. Do you think they would bend open or snap if overloaded?
Thanks again
Mark
I don't know your weight and all the other variables. I'd rather err onthe side of caution, but the amount of sag really determines the amount of tension on the whole system.
Thanks Dutch, I understand. I'll try some anyway and keep an eye on them.
