Modding hyperlite
Hey hennessy hyperlite users. I was curious if anyone had change their suspension to dynaglide whoopies, potentially even change the ridgeline or switch to lighter straps. How much does your kit weigh? Hammock, suspension, straps, hardwear, etc. I've thought about getting one of these to save weight for bug season use, but its all depends on the weight. I've heard the hennessy site doesn't include weights of straps.

If my memory serves me right (which is ALWAYS up for debate) my hyperlite weighed 22oz and this was with hammock (stock ridge), dyna whoopies, toggles, 6ft straps (AHE straps), and dutch clips and stuff sack (AHE tarp bag)!
My better half is using it but has a webbing suspension on it, if you want I can weigh it for ya with the set-up it has on it? (AHE 12ft straps, AHE UL triangle buckles with 7/64th cont loops, dutch clips, and AHE tarp bag)!

Thanks cranky bear, in fact I made this thread because I couldn't find our messages from awhile back on the subject. I must have accidently deleted it and forgot the info you gave me.
Thanks for letting me know again!

No problem! FWIW the WBBB 1.1 SL would be lighter and less expensive (by 70$ or so)!
If I can recall Raul got his WBBB 1.1SL down to like 18oz or so!?!?

That's what I was thinking. Raul got his to 18.44oz! Ill probably end up with the wbbb, just figured the hyperlite could be lighter with a more simplistic design and less fabric. I got some tulle today to make a bug sock I may just switch to an open net hammock year round. Ohhh the trials and confusion of a hammocker, haha. Thanks for your input cranky bear.
