I'm not sure if Northern Mike requires much explaination.
Born and raised in Northern Ontario and when on most car and camping forums, I tend to be more North then most.
I run (and hike) either barefooted or in barefoot-style shoes...and older friend nicknamed me Running Bare, and he was specific about the spelling.
chimpac short for chimney packer.
When I backpack or camp I always carry a chimney for my cookstove so I can cook and eat inside my shelter.
Ever since I got a gecko tattooed on the side if my head, people started calling me Gecko. That was taken, so I went with Geck0.:(
Tumbleweed goes back to when I was playing youth hockey in Texas as a young child and seem to do more rolling around on the ice than skating. Tumbleweed was taken so I went with Tumbleweedz.
Daisy is my dog's name. :)
I like to hike and run fast.
Originally used "cbamos" on the forum. Changed to "PappyAmos" because our little grandkids call me that. Was supposed to be Grand Pappy Amos, like from The Real McCoys TV show (50 years ago) but that was too much for them.
