Hennessy Deluxe Tarp
I'm looking to upgrade my tarp shelter this year from a Tyvek Ugly tarp to a proper sil tarp. My original plan was to DIY a cat cut tarp. Then I found this one Amazon. The materials alone for the cat cut tarp would be more costly than this one. The problem is the listing is lacking on details. Does anyone have experince with this model? Its listed as Hennessy brand.

Looks like it's coated polyester not sil, not necessarily a bad thing but if you're looking for a lighter-weight silnylon tarp, this isn't it...

That's a lot of tarp for the money... But being polyurethane coated it will be heavier than sil nylon... But it will work just at a cost of weight... If weight is not that important to you, that tarp should be big enough...

By way of comparison a DD 3x3 is a few dollars more, it's a nice tarp (I have one) but I think I'd take the HH tarp just based on design.

I have and use this tarp. Love it. Plenty of coverage for the price...IMHO, well worh it.
I've gone a step further and had 2QZQ sew silnylon doors with velcro closures on the ends.

Thanks for the feed back. I figured for the price and weight it must be coated ripstop.
I may stick with my original plan and make the Black Cat. Having projects makes the winter months go faster too!

I have this tarp for my HH Safari. Its is heavy, but covers a large amount of space. This summer, I camped with my dog and his tent underneath the tarp as well and still had plenty of room left over.
