Whooooo Buddy! Good to hear you're out there in the piney woods. I know about those knees--good things when they work and the bugger when they don't. Hope it gets better and feels well. I usually wait till the morning so that I can have a good cup of joe when I watch the Shug, but I just couldn't wait tonight. Looking forward to more of the Kek Trek. Thanks, Shug.

Very nice Shug! Wonderful color in your neck of the woods. I miss that being out here in the west. Looking forward to part 2!

Hope your knee is better Shug! Have to ask....blueberry cheddar?? Where did you get that?

Hanging in the hammock out in the pinstripes woods and decide to check HF and a new Shug adventure waiting me. Glad to see you're back out there after a long summer. I've been excited to get out on the trail and gone the wrong way myself
Hope the knee felt better after a well deserved session of hammock therapy. Can hardly wait for the next installment.

I did the end-to-end Keck Trek myself back when I was young and foolish. Started off hauling way too much stuff (took me decades to learn to lighten up). Trip was marked by (1) uncertainty as to where we were owing to many trails, and spotty markings, (2) uncertainty as to when we could water up again. Sound familiar?
But we had _canoe_ maps, with considerably less resolution than yours. Did I mention we were young and foolish?
Roughly in the middle of the trail we met up with a guy who had been very lost for 3 days, did not know where he was until we showed up, and was happy to have us share our food and the trail out.

Good to see you back in the swing of things. Every backpacker has a God given right to be lost in the woods at least once in their life! Thank you for sharing

Thanks man, the Wallendas rule "the wire" and the log.

Hey Shug,
Good to see you on the trail again.
I'm sure that most of us would admit to being "Misplaced" on the trail at some point. ;) It is very easy to do. On my last hike I was "Misplaced" for about 10 minutes. I stopped to film a beaver lodge and when I started hiking again I went the wrong way.
Love the fall colours. Can hardly wait for part 2, (if you make it out )

I enjoyed your video - can't wait to see part two. Hopefully the knee healed up quickly!!
