Had a chance to try out the Revelation X quilts that I had ordered from Tim a while back. Can't say enough good things about them. Who else loves their Enlightened Equipment quilts?
Thanks,
James

Those are some nice looking quilts!
Awesome review! Thanks alot for solidifying my choice for the top quilt! I had talked to tim via email and on here and have admiration and respect for his work.. this however is the first video review i have seen of his equipment.. so needless to say will be ordering my quilt soon as my gear fund is fully replenished! almost there!
James - Thanks for posting, ordered my Revelation X from Tim two weeks ago and can't wait until it gets here. Looks like quality craftmanship and a great choice.
I got one last year. My only complaint has nothing to do with the TQ; its just that since I got it, the weather has been too warm to give it a good test.
Do you have any information or pictures demonstrating how small it packs down?
Sweet looking quilts
My new Revelation X TQ *20 with a 30% overstuff from EnLIGHTend Equipment arrived early this week ahead of schedule. Haven't had time to field test yet but took a very close look and the workmanship is top notch. I know the 30D ripstop is supposed to be a 2nd, but if the material has a flaw I can't see it.
Great price, really nice quality, and Tim was a pleasure to deal with. Got a black outside and a orange inside and it looks completely bad-***. :boggle:
Excited to own this as my first quilt and really can't wait to try this out and report back.
Now I need an equally good UQ...suggestions for a WBBB?
I would also love to see it in a stuff sack before i buy one if anyone has a photo
Got my Revo X two weeks ago and I am very happy with it. Top quality and craftsmanship.
I can recommend.
I was just wondering the same thing
As far as how small it packs down, it will probably will be about the same as any other quilt. Also it depends on what size quilt you purchase and if it is overstuffed. The quilts do not come with a stuff sack yet, but when I emailed him, he mentioned he will start including them in 2013. Also, he mentioned that if I ask him for one with my order now he will include one. I bought his Revelation X 20 degree in the largest size and overstuffed and it is a very good quilt. It is also very multi-functional in that I can use it as a top or bottom quilt and it has loops to secure to a pad when going to ground. I asked for a stuff sack and he sent me a prototype waterproof sack with a roll top. it is very nice, though I like to compress all my quilts in a different compression sack (with my pillow, hat, socks, etc.).
I hope I did not step on his toes by mentioning the extra stuff sack. His work is very high quality and the price is very reasonable, and I am currently saving to purchase a 40 degree quilt for next summer.
I love my Revelation X; it truly is one of the gear bargains available!!
how much did the 30% overfill cost though
Anyone used one as an UQ? Got any feedback?
Apologies for the hijack, not much came up on a search in the UQ section and there's clearly a few users here.
At the moment it's a toss up (for me) between the Revelation X or something from UKhammocks.
bigfoot2 uses them regularly for a uq
I have just started using my quilt made by Tim...the only issue I have is the straps with the cinch cord come undone quite easily. Any suggestions ? I was thinking of putting mitten hooks on them to keep the cord in place. Thoughts
