cheap home hang sotution
Im a newbie to hanging, I think I should say up front, however i am trying to be a full time hanger. My girlfriend is in school in a different town so i only see her about once a month, other than that I plan on only sleeping in my Eno double-nest and the only sutible place to hang is my porch. Any way I have been trying to find a bottom insulation that would keep me warm, not make me sweat like a pig, and that I didn't have to spend any money on. And i think i found one, at least for now. I whipped the ends of a fleece blanket and just hung it under my hammock from the suspension, it acted as a full length under quilt but is cooler and free :) I'm sure you guys have known this for a while but I had to share my "genius".
Thanks guys,
Paul

Hey Paul... I'm glad that worked for you.
Anything that stops the wind from blowing
directly under you helps.
I have been thinking up some ideas for warm weather
underquilts and this helped me. Thanks

You might be a new guy but I haven't seen that particular approach yet and I've been lurking around for a while now. Although I was off grid for a few months. Either way applied creativity is a good thing even if it doesn't always end in a masterpiece. Welcome aboard!

Use a "moving" blanket instead of fleece. They stop wind better and don't flap as much. You can pick one up at any moving store. Other than that, you nailed it.

This past winter I whipped some down lap blankets that we had laying around for UQ's on my kids hammocks that hang under their lofted bunk beds.
I have some wind stopper fleece I was thinking about using as insulation. You have inspired me.

I'm inspired too! I needed it because I've been dragging my feet about an underquilt. It's cool at night now .... and I hang indoors....that I need to do something soon. Thanks for sharing. :thumbup1:
