Any news on when the BMBH will be available again? I'm tempted to pick up the new, improved model to give the bridge another try.

Try sending Pan a PM, although he may see this post and respond. A PM he'll see for sure!
On 2/23/11, Pan told me they should be back in stock in 3-5 weeks.
What are the changes for the new version? I tried one out at the CO winter hang and was definitely intrigued!
I ordered one late February when I got my Tax Refund. One of the Jacks said it should be available during the last half of March. I don't plan to use it before mid April but I look forward to playing with it.
The new model has a zipper on 3 sides instead of the full omni tape to secure the bugnet and gear pockets on each end.

No Cupholders?
Just tried the "newer" version out this weekend and it by far is my favorite for comfort. I could lay on my side which I could never do with any other hammock. I used a large neo air for pad. It felt wonderful.
BUT Pan I am glad that you are making adjustments on the 2011s with the zipper. I found that if I sat up to zip shut the fully unzipped netting, my weight would not allow me to zip past the corners. Therefore I no longer unzipped fully, but I would like to do so. Hopefully you are aware of this problem and that is why the change in the 2011 model. Thanks for all you do.
Pics of my BMBH and Hudson quilt, neo air and WM megalite long bag, and Warbonnet BM tarp. My humble abode.
Gadgeteer, et al,
The BMBH hammock comes with instructions to zip the end sections passed the front corners before loading the hammock...Even with the softened front corners this will still be a requirement....
The only reason the ends even zip is to allow the full roll back and storage of the bug net when it is not needed... Thus providing a neat open top, unencumbered hammock for the bug free environments.

The gf is wanting to try one out so I ordered one Friday for her. She can't wait to try it out plus I got a few brownie points
JRB Bear Mountain Bridge Hammocks are back in stock... All the back orders have been shipped.

Hey Gadgeteer, thanks for the pics.. Is that 25" wide neo air or a 20" wide.Quote:

Thanks

25" IT'S AWESOME
On take down I just leave the pad in. Take one side down and take bar out, fold in half and deflate and roll until I get to other side. Works great.
I've had Hennessy, Warbonnet, and now the BMBH. The BMBH is without a doubt the most comfortable. Also I was able to sleep on my side thanks to neoair.
Just to give you an idea of my body size - 6'1" 230lbs and wide shoulders. I had no squeeze at all.
