Weather Shield Question

I have one of the original Weather Shields and I was wondering, if I hung over the outside of my Winters Nest, would it provide any additional warmth in really cold weather?

Old JRB model (Camel color).

Love my poncho weather shield mod. Had a windy night in the low 30's and had focused on son's set up didnt realize I had hung tarp a little high. Started to get cold through my UQ and jumped out threw JRB poncho on under the UQ problem solved toasty warm the rest of the night.
