Glad I could be the first at something, you take what you can get. I had already spliced the tail end back into the line. I suppose that could be undone but not as easy as taking the chair apart.
I love it! I've done a ton of splicing for gear and boats and never done that. I have very often sat back and admired my work and realized I didn't put the metal thimble/eye on the line.
Last week, at West Marine, I was so proud I remembered to put the heat shrinks on some wire rigging before swaging the eyes on both ends. I finished the project and realized I didnt put the block on the eye, the sole reason I did it at West vs at home.
I made whoopies with a knot in the adjustable loop - luckily I had not backspliced the end when I noticed it.
Looks like your whoopie slings now come with complimentary camp chairs.
