Cuben Fiber Down Air Pad?

Has anyone experimented with the Idea of a DYI Cuben Fiber Down Air Pad yet?

Thought about it - not as a pad for the ground, but as a way to lend some structure in a hammock. Cuben isn't noted for standing up to abrasion, so it probably wouldn't be using the material to best advantage.

I was reading were tent people were making and using them on the ground and thought it would be better suited in a hammock if it were customized for hangers.
