From Kansas
I have been an avid camper and slept in a lot of hammocks down in the
Caribbean, but never tried camping with them here in the states. (Technically I still haven't) At home my hammocks are strung out back for a lazy day nap or between a couple shade trees at the lake. Out of the blue I have had several friends tell me they have hammock tents and how great they are.
Can't wait to try one out on my next backwoods trip fly fishing or just off the water on a kayak trip. Thanks to all those who have posted their insight, ideas, patterns and pictures on this site. I appreciate is as I get started.

Welcome.
Some were just talking about there being no members from Kansas. Which is understandable with no trees or hills and all.....:lol:
But really, welcome to the group.
