Art Loeb Backpacking Trip, May 3rd - 5th
I've been wanting to hike the Art Loeb Trail since I hiked a portion of it in preparation for my charity hike last fall. I've set aside 2.5 days to hike the trail beginning early afternoon on May 3rd. I 'think' I may have a coworker or two that 'might' join me but I'm not certain they're all in. So I'm wondering if anyone on HF might be interested in hiking with me.
If anyone's interested, let me know and we can go from there.

Great trail. Hiked it back in October, but due to closings in the Shining Rock Wilderness area for camping, had to change my plans a bit. Which side were you starting from? Camp Daniel Boone or Davidson River Campground? Either way you'll love it:thumbup:

Most likely Camp Daniel Boone side. I've been wanting to hike it for a while now and hopefully I'm going to finally get the opportunity.

Hi Brian. Let me know. I think I've go two coworkers committed to going so I'm no longer worried abut hiking alone.

I have done a little research, but I don't think we have finalized the exact date or start point just yet.
I'm not great at trip reports but I'll try, especially since I may be the only hammocker. :(
I'm also interested in other planning resources, especially the locations of water sources.
