My DIY webbing suspension system
I decided to modify my stock HH suspension. I choose to go with chainlinks, webbing and cinch buckles. The buckles and chainlinks are from Arrowhead Equipment. I choose the long chanlinks rather than the shorts. I took some 1'' milspec tubular webbing bought at REI and sewed loops approximately 4'' long on one end. My goal is to have these take the place of my tree huggers. My plan is wrap the webbing around the tree and than pull the free end through the loop and towards the hammock. The cinch buckle is on the free end this will be married to the chainlink via a beaner.
Now the question I keep getting, "why use a beaner rather than attach the cinch buckle to the chainlink?" Here is my answer, I don't want to have to fight with threading the webbing through the buckle in potentially inclement weather or adverse conditions. I think my method will allow me to just adjust the webbing/buckle for length than just through them together with the beaner.
Here are some pics of the set up. I would like to thank Ken for the video on how to change over the HH suspension.

I will see how it holds up this coming weekend at the PB Hang.
