I must consult with the young man before I confirm attendance. If we come, I would be glad to organize a "float" at the hang. :scared:
I'm looking to forward to this. I may even rent the same spot I had last year, which I swear was halfway to Asheville.
Been waiting for this thread! Cant promise I will show, but I am going to put in for the time off and hope like heck it gets approved. I am still in self debate about hitting the river this time. My last attempt at towing a kayak while I swam tells me I need practice....as I understand the object is to actually stay on board the yak :p
Would love to hang with you all again, you are a great bunch of people. I have committed to another hang during that time frame. I know you all will have a blast.
This is shaping up nicely!:thumbup1:
Thanks Cakes for organizing the paddle trip, we knew we could count on you!
Thanks Woodsy for putting up the site map.
Thanks RF for putting in the campground rates!
I'd like to see how many Dutch oven chefs we have out there. Anyone that has a favorite dish they do, let's plan on Saturday night a dutch oven/hot dog dinner. My family says I make a mean Jambalaya!
I'll be bringing some campfire wood for both Friday and Saturday evening, but any & all wood is good. If anyone wants to bring some too.
Across the road is the famous Hot Springs spa, so if anyone is interested, you can give them a call and reserve a hot tub.
Also, Smoky Mountain diner is a short walk down main street, and Bluff Mtn. outfitters for a little "retail therapy":woot::thumbup1:.
We'll continue to post pertinent information as this gets closer. Thanks everyone for the interest and we're all gonna have a great weekend in September!

I'll bring a D.O.
Breakfast, anyone?
I'm both a land and water lover, can't I have them both?
