Here it is, the Guam Nuclear Hang video. Don't be too down on me, I haven't spent a lot of time narrating anything on video plus i stayed up all night putting this thing together. Hopefully i didn't mess anything up while I was sleep deprived . It was really hard keeping this thing under 10 minutes. My first attempt sat at about 25 minutes so i had to cut a lot of the talking out of it. I also didn't get a lot of footage after Fish and Dan showed up...I got too busy flapping my gums
Hopefully this will give you guys and gals a little prospective into hanging out in Guam.

You keep showing that beautiful beach, and your going to have to find more trees to accommodate all the HF members coming to Guam!
Maybe you guys can figure out how to do an underwater hang with some long snorkels!

Thanks for the video lugnut! Liked the camera falling to the seafloor shot - neato!
Looks like the first HF Nuclear Hang was a success in Guam. Nice beautiful beach for sure. Hope you guys get a chance to explore some of those mountains in the future.

Two of my favorite things to do. Hammock camp and swim underwater. Put together nicely. Thanks for the trip report.

Great vid. Mad me kinda miss Diego Garcia. I don't think you need an under quilt when its 80. Those legs will do just fine:lol: if Guam has the same coconut crabs we had in Dei go than they eat really well. Little butter and a barly pop. Just don't ever do it they are on the indangerd list. A hefty fine goes with the meal. And yes they can shred a coconut just like that. Again great trip report.

Cool vid. I'm not much of a beach person either, but Guam looks nice.
Your next vid you have to get Fish to talk.

Thanks for sharing the video - great to see another part of the world.
And ya talking to yourself feels strange.... Even weirder when you run into somebody else and they realize you're talking to Wilson.

That has got to be what was shredding those coconuts then...

I see there's another good ol' boy out there with the gift of loquaciousness. For some reason, I approve of long videos where somebody just talks. Thus, I approve of this video. Well done, sir.

Where was that? It looked like it was near that the beach by Anderson. I forgot the name.
Also have you hit Paget or Marbo caves yet? I seem to remember both places had some good places to hang near the coast. Sadly I was not in to hammocks back than and it's been a few years, so I could be wrong.

Ok next time we go, I promise you I will definitely give videography my best shot.
Mad777- there are at least one set of trees per site, and the sites are close together so multiple people aren't a problem. We picked that site so we wouldn't have to get more than one this go around...
Zugcat- that is indeed tarague beach on aafb. I have not been to pagat or marbo, and don't really plan on going to pagat. I might someday before I leave, but due to knowledge of that spot, it deters me a little. Back in November a navy sub lost a guy when he jumped into the ocean there and didn't hit the water immediately. I had to clean out our aircraft after that...kind of depressing.

I have done the paget cave hike and you could hang there but it would be difficult due to terrain issues. You are up high in a bluff and it would be hard to access the beach. I may still try it before I leave though.

You sound/talk just like Woody Harrelson! The shredded coconut bits all over the place ,were pretty strange! I’d like to see the coconut shredding crab, see if you can find/film one. Blackbirds are great! Thumbs down to the leg warmers. lol Thanks for the video, lugnut!

Lol, that's the first time I've ever been told that I talk like woody! Not sure if that is a good thing or a bad one.
I thought I would corner some sort of new market with the leg warmers :(

Thanks for sharing the video. Looks like a neat place. I'd never heard of a coconut crab before now. Those things are huge! Hate to get my finger or toe pinched by one.
Great video Lug!! I'd love to do some beach campin!! Stoked to see those Hammock Life shirts poppin up in pics and videos. Happy that Fish has got him a hangin buddy out there now!!!

Not only am I totally stoked to have one of your shirts mike, I'm also stoked to have someone to hang out here with. We had a great time, that's why there's hardly any video other than me attempting a bow drill fire. I will post my cameras videos when I can figure out how to edit on my wife's (Japanese) computer. I will probably need her help.

Great video. I'm still laughing at the leg warmer bit. Stay safe out there.

That was fantastic guys. Loved Fish rockin' the Hammock Life T-shirt. +1 on needing more trees to hang from because of the mad rush to hang there. I'd glow a like a glow worm for that spot.
Nice job. :shades:

What fun to be transported to the beach for breakfast this morning! Thanks. Thank you for your service, too. Stay safe, enjoy yourselves often and keep those videos coming. : )

We Fish are quiet folk. Great vid, warmed me up during a mid April blizzard up here north of the border. Was planning a hang this weekend but without a UQ/TQ combo for my new WBBB it just isn't gonna happen, temps are still dipping to -10 or -15C overnight :/

I really hope my next assignment is somewhere that gets cold like that. I want to do a -degree hang at some point

I'm enjoying your videos! They bring back great memories when I was on Guam. I thought that looked like Tarague Beach. Our van burned up going up the hill to the base. Fuel line corroded with all that salt air and the fuel spewed all over the hot engine. All that coconut husk on the ground looked like the area on the beach after my dad was husking all of the green coconuts to get a drink of milk.

" If you like a no kidding comfy minimalist hammock kit, ie no quilt system at all, come on overto guam. We'll show you a nice place to camp where the sounds of crashing waves put you to sleep. It's cheap flying space a, close to our house, and best of all as tropical as it gets. We sit at about 13 degrees north, so you can expect the same weather year round. Now we even offer the once in a lifetime opportunity to watch the threat of nuclear war unfold right before your own eyes for no extra charge. " This has been an advertisement brought to you by the Guam Nuclear Hanging Society. For more information contact [glowing]Lugnut, or [three-eyes] Fish<>< via pm.
On a serious note though; next time we go, we will make an effort to talk less to each other and more to the cameras. We really shot the breeze too long that night. Glad you guys enjoyed the trip report lugnut put together. There will be more future adventures.
