Welcome and great first post. The more Chloe camps, the more comfortable she'll feel. Frustrating and exhausting at first but keep at it and she'll turn into the best camp dog ever.

Welcome to the trees, and thanks for a GREAT first post and story! Gotta start taking Chloe on some short trip to the woods, so she gets used to the other inhabitants there.
Or, get a bigger hammock, possibly out of Kevlar. LOL!

I have a 50lb Pit Bull that I take with me, and she's the same way at night...wants to protect us from every little thing out there and Woof, Woof, Woof.
The key is to walk them so tired, that they just crash till sunrise. Works every time.
Thanks for the laugh and Roll Tide. I take it you all didn't camp out Saturday night as the weather deteriorated rapidily into Sunday morning. We were in Tuscaloosa btw.
