nice work dood :)
That is a mighty fine idea! Nice job! I bet that zipper was expensive.
Just saw the video on YouTube ... and all I can say is ... you nailed it. Takes the amazing black bird and turns it into something mo'betta! :woot:
WAY TA'GO
Nice now I need to start saving for another gear purchase. May have to tell the wife that its for her (after an extensive testing period of course).
Sweet!...We were just talking about something like this at the hang this past weekend....
brandon
couldn't tell....is there a vent hole on the over cover by the head end for condensation?
boot
Wow, wow, wow. Amazing upgrades to one of the best hammocks on the market. It's on the list of next purchases now!
Really nice looking there Brandon!
Interesting addition on the zip off cover.
Any plans to offer this on the 10 ft version as well?
Must resist, feel urge to get new BB coming on.
Looks like I'll be getting another BB... Nice timing too btw, right here around the time we all get some money back from Uncle Sam! Looks awesome Warbonnetguy, can't wait to place an order
Very nice. Love the removable net and top cover.
Very cool Brandon, I see one in my future!
Totally Unique and Awesome! What else you got hidden in those experimental rooms you secretly have somewhere? I wonder if Cannibal knew about this hammock coming out? :)
Looks great Brandon!!
I must resist.
Well then, I know what my next hammock purchase is going to be! Looks good. All I'll need is an Edge tarp with a foot longer RL.
Yet another Nice setup !
Man this throws a whole new twist on my next purchase......
Sweet - what is the weight on the ripstop? Will there be a dl version as well?
How will this fit under the Superfly? Actually in the market for a new hammock and this takes all I love and just adds to it.
Nice work Brandon. Looks great. I'm also interested in the breathability of the overcover. I suppose you can unzip a little for more airflow?
Awesome new hammock. I as well wonder about a ten foot version.
What has two thumbs and is getting one!?? This Guy!!
Appreciate the length and new features Brandon.
I'm so glad you posted this. Was about to purchase a BB and now I'll wait a few days.
Figures this would come right after I purchase my BB... That's ok though, I really have no need of the extra length. I'm blessed with being short :D
I do like the idea of the removable top though.
Sweet Jesus. Yes.
Hi guys,
Thanks for the compliments. I've been wanting to do an 11-footer for a long time. I'm hoping to have these up on the website by then end of the week, hopefully sooner.
To answer a few questions, there is no vent hole, you've just got the breathability of the fabric itself plus partially opening the zipper when needed. We're just using matching hammock fabric for the topcover, both our 1.1 and 1.7 (and the 1.9 multicam) are non-calendared with dwr only for max breathability.
We will offer this in a 10' version, but that may take a few more weeks to get to that. Anybody interested in the shorter 10' version should contact me via email and i'll start a list.
Someone was asking about the weight of the fabric. The hammock in the video is a single layer of 1.7 oz fabric. Just about all options will be avail with the possible exception of the single 1.1
The superfly will work just fine, the cloudburst would work well also. Havent tried it with the mj yet, but there should be about 10" or so of overlap at each end, but it is a hex so noticeably less coverage at the ends compared to the above 2 mentioned tarps. i may come out with a longer hex down the road.
All I can say is D$&M YOU........just when I had everything checked off my wish list....
You can go ahead and put the Superfly back on sale now also, as mine has arrived!
swank
Great Idea! I think that extra 1' will take care of the calf issues that I had with the BB. I like how you opened up the view too.
I didn't see it mentioned & I couldn't tell from the video, is there still a shelf on the right?
You're going to make this in a Multicam? And, have you ever considered putting a few gross grain loops along each side to stabilize UQ use?
Nicely done, Brandon. Looks good, and I love the ability to convert. Opens up the ability to use for all seasons. I don't think I'll give up my Traveler yet, but I can't wait to get my hands on an BB XLC.......:boggle:
Better make a lefty or three :)!
I must admit that the video stirred me and I got goose-pimply)))))))
You are going to sell a lot of those for sure.
Oh yeah.
Shug
There's my next purchase
wow. I was all decided until I saw this video!
I wondered why to many people have so many hammocks, but
this is quite versatile.
Definitely going to go with a BB now. (XLC)
Simply awesome! Can't wait to order one of these...
MyvWBBBfits under my Hammock Gear CF cat cut tarp. I am wondering if I would by long enough to fit ths guy under.
I love the convertibility, but am also a little concerned about the condensation potential.
I am interested in seeing the price on this one..
I too am curious about the shelf zipping off or what the deal with it is. Also, with the footbox made of the no see-um mesh, does that include the bottom of it as well? And wonder how that will hold up with some tossing and turning in there.
I'm a user sensitive to calve pressure in the 10' model, no issues in any of the 11' I've tried. The ULC is on my wish list already. If its cost is low enough I will jump on a 1.7 single.
Any plans on "just" a WBBB XL (11' classic)?
I had been holding off on purchasing a WBBB but this news might push me over the edge. Can't wait to here some reviews on this hammock.
ooooooo I want!
Could you silicon the top and not need a tarp??? Now that would be an easy setup.
