Double fishermans?
Figure-8 bend, this is an alternative to double fisherman for binding two ropes.
Have you seen Opie's thread on the Soft Shackle Prusik? Much more versatile.
Or you could splice a continuous loop for a very clean look.
Triple fisherman's for slippery line (like Amsteel or other Dyneema based lines), double fisherman's for easily-knotted line (like paracord or mason's line) to make loops for Prusiks and suspension attachments.
Pull 'em as tight as you can before cutting the tail ends (with load-bearing ones, I get in the hammock first, just to be sure that the knots are good and tight) to prevent pull-through, especially with the more slippery lines.
Hope it helps!
Baby steps...........just made a marlin spike for toggle last night. Next is whoopies. Learning the terminology is the challenge.
Marlin spike hitch to whoopies is a BIG step, for me anyway...
it's easy to tie and super strong
ok so where do you go to find out how to tie all these knots?
Here's one place.

It doesnt have to be a loop. Mine are open ended on the ridge line and I just tie the tarp to the prusik with a simple bow knot. Easy on/easy off no hardware. I have been doing it this way for years w/out fail.
Yes, Same people, Grog makes one for phones. It's pretty excellent too.
