Tarp ridge line question

I am new to hammocks and to start with my tarp is going to be my noah's tarp. I have never set it up with anything other than a paracord ridge line. I have been playing around with putting two prusik knots on the para cord so that adjusting the tarp is easy, but they tend to slip (probably because I'm using para cord for the prusik knot and the ridge line). Can someone recommend to me the type of cord that they use for their tarp ridge line and prusik knot?

I use Zing-it for my CRL and I prefer kleinheist knots as opposed to prussiks for their holding strength. The knots are made with Zing-it as well. If you slide them back and forth a few times, the slick coating will start to wear off and they grip a bit better.

I use 1.75mm zing-it for the ridge line, and 1.25mm z-line for my prussics. I also add a couple of wraps on the prussic.

The trick to getting the Prusiks to bite is to use two cords of different thickness's.

If you're sticking with the paracord ridgline then try something thinner for the prusiks, any 2-3mm climbing accessory cord will work, so will kite lines or mason line or arborists line.

That was what I was thinking.... It seemed that the paracord on paracord was the problem. I
I like the zing-it idea from the other posts too.

I use the gray 2.2 lash-it for the ridgeline and red 1.75 zing-it for the prussics.
From what I understand if you use more wraps the prussics will hold better.

I've been using 1.75 zing-it prussics on itself and it seems to hold well on the 3rd wrap.

I too use same diameter zing-it prusiks and RL, throw on an extra wrap if they slip. I would imagine the same would apply for paracord.
