VIDEO:PART 3 Linville Gorge, NC Pre-Halloween HammockForums Hang
.... Here we see Ken's Hennessy set-up and his Tee-Dee Tarp ridgeline suspension, Suess's rig, 'Gingers" at play with tent stakes..... the J. Falk Compact Wood Stove again, The JerryChair, RunningFeather's Purple People Eater Tarp and his hammock, the last morning on the east ridge at the Camel humps and some out-takes.
It was a terrific trip and thanks so much for your time viewing us.
That was good tent stake fun! I need to go camping again.

My wife sat here and watched all three of your videos, Shug! She loved them!
I guess Ken and Hawk-eye were so puckered from showing off their gear on camera that they both neglected to say anything about their Molly Mac Packs!

Video View Time at my house
Just wish I could get at that there 3rd part in the Linville Gorge Saga video...but I can't do it on this here old computing thingee. I have to wait just 10 more minutes until I get my grubby paws on the wife's new-fangled lap-top, and I'll be in hog-heaven (or should I say HAWG heaven). It sure does make for pretty good "vicarious" hanging if you watch all of the videos (that eminated from this hang in the Linville Gorge) back-to-back. Well I hear the back door opening...got to go!
A BIG THANKEE!!, to all of you that participated and made it possible for all of us unlucky heathens to enjoy.

A toast to the "Linville Gorge Hangers"
Shug and all others,
well worth the wait. Have favorited all of the videos so now I have the whole saga. Unless of course you are going to be putting out..."The Linville Out-Takes" version..."Linville Gorge In It's Entirety" version...."The Uncut Directors" version ...."The Linville Gorge Refuge Camp Project" version...."There are Rats in the Linville Gorge" version (made for PBS, Ken Burns eat your heart out}....and let's not forget the ever popular....'The Linville Gorge Hang Unplugged" version (starring Shug Emery's olde' Scouting Buddies, Hickory and that other guy). But seriously though this been one most excellent ride. I raise my glass high and say "JOB WELL DONE to all who have had a hand in this event, from planners, participants, to editors and producers". "THANK YOU and SLEEP WELL my friends with the knowledge that you ALL have been part of something very enjoyable and entertaining to a whole lot of other people. And THAT is something you can carry in your hearts for the rest of your lives".
I salute you all!

Shug excellent videos as usual. They are much appreciated and even more a year from now, I'm sure. I had a great time listening to your blue grass stories around the campfire. It's something I knew nothing about. But to listen and learn from somebody as passionate as you was great.

Great stuff Shug! I just crawled out about 20 minutes ago and found this!
Makes me feel I'm having my coffee in Linville again..........
Seems you have edited 30 solid minutes of Linville Hang video with no commercials. Sure can't get that on any of the networks. Maybe you should start the ShugTV network. I'd sure pay my monthly subscription!
Top of the mornin' to ya'

Yes ! Fun times with new friends!:D
Thanks again Shug for putting out another great vid. It'll be fun to watch these again, and again.
CHG,(Clueless Hiker Girl), my 10 yr. old, is wanting to go on one of these hangs more than ever after watching these vids.:D Very cool!!!
She's not sure what to make of the tent stake shananagans, but we all got a good laugh out of it!

It looked HORRIBLE!! with all that: walkin in the woods, camping, sleepin in Hammiks, takin pictures & videos. And way too much scenery,,,,,,,
OK, you caught me, I'm just wishing I could have come, at least for a visit like Hooch did.
Great videos as usual, looked like a great time. I have got to either stop watching these things or start going to ALL of them there hangouts.

It's ok, Ken. I'm grateful that there were no complaints from the half dozen folks carrying MMPs in Linville and Sipsey!
Sorry for the selfish hijack, Shug... my family loves your videos, and would not have seen our amazing camp, or me wearing a kilt, otherwise! Everyone enjoys your focus on gear.
Also, thanks again for showing us what improv video with a little editing can produce! SC and HB both did a fantastic job, no doubt inspired by Shug! I'm saving me punts so I can make me own speakies soon!
Speaking of Stormcrow, just a couple of hours after he lay in the hammock, sick as a dog, he and Three waltzed past CapitalBill, Hedcase and me, as we headed up Spence. He reached the top of Table Rock before we got up Spence! It's a goat, it's a rabbit, no, it's Stormcrow burnin' up the trail! (How does Three keep up? Amazingly, he does!)

How blatantly irresponsible you boys are in the woods! Posting a video glorifying placement of metal stakes into your body orifices then posting on the internet for any young whipper-snapper to come across! I fully expect to see a rash of nasal foreign bodies in the ER in the next few weeks! Well... I suppose a nice change from the usual bead, coin or breakfast cereal that is usually up there. Thankfully you only put them in your nose.
Kidding of course. Looked like good fun. Thanks to all for the great pics on the various threads and for the wonderful vids Shug. Dude, I have to party with you sometime!
